Cheryl Follett and Mary Elisabeth Hannah of Southeast Advocate Associates and Christine Riley of Cape Cod Advocate

Join us for the opportunity to ask both general and specific special education and disability related questions to a panel of seasoned advocates and specialists whose focus is special education process, laws and regulations.  These advocates are not lawyers.  Their opinions are not legal advice.  Yet, their wisdom and experienced based knowledge is invaluable.

Behavior

This program is the 2nd a series of 4 events.  The topic of the program is Behavior.  The presenter for the program is Mary Elisabeth Hannah of Southeast Advocate Associates.  Mary Elisabeth is a MA Licensed Special Education Teacher, MA Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who specializes in children on the Autism Spectrum.  Mary Elisabeth has worked in the field of Special Education for the last 15 years in both private nonprofit and public schools in the capacity of SPED Teacher, Curriculum Specialist, SPED Administrator and Behavior Analyst. 

Specific information regarding the program content will be updated after the 1st of the year.

Preparing for Transition to Adulthood

The staff of Southeast Advocate Associates will combine their specialties in the presentation for this evening’s program.  Whether your child has special needs or not, preparing your child for independence and the transition from childhood to adulthood with all its responsibilities is sometimes scary for parents.  Together, Cheryl Follett, Mary Elisabeth Hannah, and Warna Reynders will try to ease some of your fears and concerns by sharing information regarding transition planning in the school, what legal concerns to address and preparation for financial responsibilities.
